Fiber is the best connection on the coast, full stop. Where a fiber line already reaches your lot, take it: it is cheaper, steadier, lower-latency, and it does not care about rain or trees. The catch is coverage: fiber ends at the edge of town, and most jungle lots are beyond that edge by definition.

LTE data is the stopgap. A Mexican SIM in a phone or a hotspot is cheap to start, works the day you arrive, and covers email and light browsing in town.
